Perrot State Park

Wow! What a beautiful day for a hike to the top of Brady’s Bluff! It was a small group: Dave Cooley, Tom & Riley Teeples, Tony & Kathy Smetna, Randal Boen (New Americorps @ UW-Extension), & Jean Sylla. The colors and the views were breathtaking. Looking forward to seeing many of you at Caion’s Orchard next Saturday. Meet at the Chamber of Commerce 8:30-8:45.

October Schedule is paartially finished.  Please take a look at the calendar.  Fall colors are coming fast!

Fall Hiking Schedule

We are currently working on the fall hiking schedule!  Hikes will begin at 9:00 am on Saturday mornings.  Please meet in the Chamber of Commerce Parking lot 8:30-8:45 am.  We will depart the parking lot promptly at 8:45 am.  Jean will continue to send emails to the current email list, and keep the website updated.  Please be patient with website updates, as Jean is still learning how to navigate and update.

Planning Meeting

Dear Jackson County Hikers/Walkers,

Is anyone willing to meet with me to discuss the future of the Hiking/Walking Club? Emily, the summer VISTA, has completed her term of service and left us with a schedule of dates and an excellent web site to help promote them (http://hikingclubofjc.wordpress.com/ if you haven’t been there). If you would like to be a part of supporting the future of the club with your ideas, energy, and/or time, please reply back to this message. I’ll try to set up a meeting date/time that works for as many as possible so we can ensure the future of the group.

Thanks, as always, for your interest in enjoying Jackson County’s Great Outdoors!
Monica
